Wearable Summer Nights

2012

A volume meter was prototyped and then individual circuits were soldered and assembled to be worked into various wearable accessories, including a sinister cape with shoulder pads, an industrial helmet and a cup-fro. "Animal vaccine" was the overarching theme of the works, which were commissioned by a German vaccine company for an outdoor garden event in Jeju-do. Because the event took place at night, the sound sensitive, illuminating accents made the pieces alluring and inspiring. The works were mostly made of recycled materials such as plastic cups, leftover paperboards and fabric, and disposable syringes used for acrylic solvent glues.
