As an exercise, I drew two simple shapes (fig. a & b), and transformed copies of them ad infinitum (in theory) to create more complex shapes and patterns. The transformation process involved scaling, moving, rotating, flipping etc in set proportions over and over again until the shapes were no longer visually discernable. All shapes below were solely made from either fig. a or b.
